How to request deletion
Email us from your account's email address
Send an email to support@librix.app with the subject "Delete my Librix account". Include the email address you use to sign in, if it is different from the address you're writing from.
- To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm that the request came from you, for example by replying from the account's email address or entering a code we send you.
- Once confirmed, we delete your account and sign you out on all devices. We aim to complete the deletion within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Data that is deleted
- Your account and profile: email address, name, password, profile photo, bio, favorite genre, reading goal, and preferences.
- Your library, reading status, ratings, shelves, and custom covers.
- Your notes and bookmarks, including attached photos.
- Your reviews and reactions.
- Your marketplace listings (with their photos and meetup points) and the requests you sent or received.
- Your streaks, achievements, reading taste profile, and recommendations data.
- Your family memberships and pending invitations.
- Your push notification tokens.
Data that may be kept
- Messages you sent stay in the other person's chat history so their conversation isn't broken. They are no longer linked to your name or profile.
- Support requests you sent us may be kept for up to 12 months to handle follow-ups and improve the app.
- Records we must keep by law, or to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse (for example, a record of a ban), or enforce our Terms, are kept for as long as that purpose requires.
- Backups and diagnostic logs may contain residual copies until they are overwritten in the normal course, generally within 90 days.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual books, shelves, notes, reviews, and listings at any time in the app, and you can remove your profile photo in your profile settings. To delete other specific data while keeping your account, email privacy@librix.app and tell us what you'd like removed.
